Kaikoura Wildlife Rescue has dedicated the past five years to the rescue and treatment of hundreds of ill and injured native birds per year in the Kaikoura district, under a Department of Conservation Wildlife Act permit and as a member of the Wildlife Rehabilitators Network of New Zealand.
The rescue is solely voluntarily managed by wildlife biologist Sabrina Luecht, receives no funding, and relies on donations to offset operating costs. Kaikoura Wildlife Rescue needs help to be able to sustain this vital conservation work to protect and preserve the wildlife of Kaikoura. You can help by making a donation when you register.

Kaikoura Cycling Club is a small club achieving great things for Kaikoura. Our aim is to progress and promote cycling in Kaikoura. We have a team of hard-working volunteers who maintain our existing trails and build new trails. The 42km Kaikoura Trail and 10km Kaiterau Trail on Mt Fyffe attract riders of all abilities from families to world-class athletes to Kaikoura.
Safe cycle trails and shared paths are beneficial to all members of our community. The attraction to the town of cycling tourists is an added benefit to businesses in Kaikoura in these times of closed borders. All funds received are put towards tools and materials for maintaining and building new cycle trails.
